Steve Blum's BBQ Ride Saturday, July 19

It was a good day for a ride and nearly 30 people came to participate. There were at least 5 different rides that folks chose to do: A longer, through Crawford Notch to Jefferson/Whitefield and back ~85 miles. A ride through the 4 notches in a counter-clockwise direction returning over Bear notch ~80 miles. A ride through Crawford to Trudeau road and back ~60 miles. A ride through Crawford Notch to Fabyans (Irving station) and back ~40 miles. Ride to Willey House and back ~ 26 miles. Some groups encountered rain, which in retrospect, was refreshing, but all in all, there were many smiles at the BBQ.

Last year Steve's ride was one of the best attended monthly rides for the club. Maybe it's Steve's great cooking! He will be supplying Kabobs and soft drinks for all who can attend the ride and or BBQ at his home. Please bring a side dish or dessert to share if you would like and any adult beverages you may want. Steve will have coolers and ice. If you have ordered but not picked up your new club jersey yet, they will be available at the ride and BBQ.

"NEW JERSEY NIGHT"

This Thursday evening, July 10, will be "New Jersey Nite" at one of our club sponsors, the Red Parka Pub.

No, this isn't a party for Garden State folks, or a bus tour of the Meadowlands looking for Jimmy Hoffa, It's that our new MWVVelo Bicycle club jerseys will be available that night. We will have them ready for you to pick up in the Red Parka's Pub, during the following hours: 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm and then again after the Parka's busy dinner hours, from 8:00pm until 10pm.

If you are able to, please get to the Parka during these times to pick up your ordered club jerseys. Please bring either a check or cash. Each jersey is $45. No jerseys will be given out without full payment. Only pre-ordered jerseys will be available.

We will set up another pickup situation for those of you who can't make it this Thursday evening, so, we'll be in touch.
